New Delhi, Apr 4: A political controversy has intensified after Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged that party MP Raghav Chadha deleted earlier posts on X that were critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party

Bharadwaj claimed that posts previously shared or referenced by AAP leaders have also disappeared from Chadha’s account. According to him, searches using keywords such as “BJP” and “Modi” no longer show critical remarks, with only a limited number of posts mentioning the prime minister still visible, reportedly in a positive tone.

The allegations come amid an internal rift within the AAP, which became public after Chadha was removed as the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha earlier this week. Bharadwaj described the alleged changes as “more than a routine clean-up,” suggesting that Chadha has “reshaped his public profile” on the platform.
Chadha has denied broader allegations made by party leaders, calling them “lies,” and has maintained that his role in Parliament is to raise public issues rather than engage in disruption. However, he has not issued a detailed response specifically addressing the claims about deleted posts.
Social Media Reaction and Online Claims
The issue has also triggered significant reaction on X, where users are raising questions about Chadha’s past statements and political positioning. Many users have shared screenshots and archived versions of older tweets in which he allegedly criticized the BJP, Modi, and the Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath.
Some social media users have framed the issue as a matter of political consistency, questioning whether the removal of earlier posts reflects a shift in strategy. Others have described it as part of a broader public relations effort, alleging that Chadha’s online presence has been selectively curated.
At the same time, these claims remain part of an ongoing online debate. While screenshots and archives are being circulated widely, there is no independent confirmation of the full extent of any deletions or the reasons behind them. Social media timelines can also change due to account management decisions or platform-related factors.
The controversy highlights how digital records and past statements are increasingly shaping political narratives. In an environment where screenshots and archives can quickly go viral, public figures often face scrutiny over both their current positions and past remarks.
As of now, the situation remains a mix of political allegations, social media claims, and limited official clarification.
