Humans Did Not Come From Modern Apes
One of the biggest misunderstandings about evolution is the sentence:
If humans evolved from apes, then why are apes still alive today?
This question itself shows a misunderstanding of how evolution actually works.
Humans did not evolve from the apes living today, like chimpanzees or gorillas. Humans and modern apes share a common ancestor from millions of years ago. That ancestor slowly changed into different groups over a very long time.
Think about a family tree.
You and your cousin share the same grandparents, but your cousin did not turn into you. In the same way, humans and apes share ancient ancestors, but one did not directly turn into the other.
Evolution Is About Branching
Evolution works like branches of a tree.
One branch can become one species, while another branch becomes a different species.

People often mix both topics together and then attack evolution using wrong arguments.
Why This Misunderstanding Spreads
Sometimes people misunderstand evolution because they hear simplified internet memes or religious propaganda instead of reading actual biology.
Some people think evolution means:
Monkey suddenly becomes human.
That is not evolution.
Evolution happens slowly over millions of years through tiny changes across generations.
Science Is About Evidence
Science is not based on feelings or religious identity. It is based on observation, testing, fossils, genetics, and evidence.
Today, scientists study DNA, fossils, bones, and species similarities to understand how life changed over time.
For example:

In science, a theory does not mean a random guess.
A scientific theory is a well-tested explanation supported by huge amounts of evidence.
For example:
- The Theory of Evolution explains how species change over time.
- The Theory of Gravity explains how gravity works.
- Germ Theory explains how diseases spread.
A law and a theory are not higher or lower versions of each other.
A scientific law describes what happens.
A scientific theory explains why and how it happens.
For example:
Gravity as a law describes that objects attract each other.
Gravity as a theory explains how gravity works.
Same with evolution.
Evolution is called a theory because it explains the mechanism of biological change through natural selection, genetics, mutation, and common ancestry.
So when people say:
Evolution is just a theory.
They are confusing the everyday meaning of theory with the scientific meaning.
In normal language, theory can mean guess.
In science, theory means one of the strongest forms of explanation supported by evidence.
Even gravity is scientifically explained through theories. So saying theory means false is scientifically wrong.
